I have a 7 year old cat, "Mister" who has been at my parents home for about 5 years or so. I recently bought a house and brought him to my new home. I have two other cats he never met and he was extremely upset about the move and especially about the other cats. He hid most of the evening, he ate and even explored a little. He was mainly an outdoor cat and I couldn't get him to use the litter box inside that night. I assumed it was because the scent of the other cats were present. So at 2 am he continued meowing and crying so I decided to let him out so he can use the bathroom. He walked across my yard slowly and went around my neighbors wall that divided our yards and I shut the door. Morning came, he never returned.
Mister is a smart cat he knows not to run in streets and he's always been able to defend himself with other animals. His only weakness is food. You feed him he's yours. But I left food and water out for him and for days the food disappeared so I had hope it was him. Until I caught crows eating it and bird poop along my porch. He hasn't returned and it'd been 6 days. I fear my precious baby will never come back. I am going to be placing flyers in my neighborhood and will be updating his microchip. Does anyone have any other advice? :/
