I've read that one should microchip their cat when they are young.
I decided early on that because my Ragdoll boy was 100% indoors that I didn't want to do that - no reason too. Well, with some of the violent weather we've experienced of late I realized that even though it is a small chance, it is possible that a tornado could come through resulting in displacing him outside (while I'm at work, for instance). As a side note, in the last month he has become a door dasher. Fortunately he is a clumsy door dasher and it only leads to a hallway instead of the great outdoors.
So I'm reconsidering it. He is 15 months old. Is there some age where it isn't recommended (hey, it IS a foreign object under the skin)? Reconsidering.
