I picked up a few cans of LID duck and turkey to try with two in our rescue. Both have food sensitivities and one has a malabsorption disorder.
Both seem to prefer the turkey over the duck (though this is true with most foods for them.)
I have tried the regular Merrick pates before; but cannot remember the consistency. Both of the LIDs were moist with a smooth texture, more so than fancy feast...maybe closed to the texture of Nutro Natural Choice pates.
Both kitties tolerated the food well (no vomiting...a problem from one in particular), so I've added it to their rotation.
As a side note, I've also recently tried Party Animals, which I thought might be shredded, but was happy to see it was a pate-type food. This has also been added to these two's rotation.
Mine love the chicken or duck pate with carrageenan so I thought I would try it without. I picked up chicken and duck today. I have not heard of party animals, who makes that?
I think these used to be sold under the name, "Before Grain" or "BG". I recently saw them in PetCo and considered them for a future purchase. Our current food has been discontinued and we'll be looking for a replacement soon.
Mine like the chicken and the turkey. Petco didn't have the duck but I would get some if they did. I think they'd like it. They like the regular Merrick duck pate
All of the Merrick LID pates are part of her rotation. Duck is Arya's favorite of the four, but she likes chicken and will eat the turkey. She doesn't seem super impressed with the salmon, but she'll eat it anyway.
