What beautiful markings! I would describe Karen as a calico (or tortie and white) domestic longhair, because she has black patches and red tabby patches. A caliby (or torbie and white) would have brown tabby patches and red tabby patches.

Would it matter that her tail is striped? Or can that be part of her calico coloring? The stripes are hard to see, but they are there.

Faint ghost stripes on the tail are normal for any solid colored cat (such as blue or black), so that would still count as "black patches."
