Hey all!
Just wanted to give you yet another update. Marmie was spayed yesterday, and apart from still being in heat, everything went fine, except she was very nasty, apparently before and after to the staff and us. I mean, I know she was stressed out, but there was no need for being so nasty. The staff said it was what they were used to, but I still felt horrible about the whole situation.
When we got her home for the first few hours, she wouldn't let us go near her. However, just before bedtime she let us near enough to pet her down and try and comfort her. She was still really stressed out. This morning, though, after we gave her some food, she was okay. I'm off from work to keep an eye on her, and she has been sleeping most of the day. She allowed me to pick her up earlier (while shaking like a leaf) and turn her over, so I could have a look. The incision looks fine...no swelling, no bleeding, and no signs of infection. We have to take her back in 10-12 days for suture removal and check-up; hopefully, she's more pleasant then.
Thanks again for all your support.
