I was told from the person I got my kitten from that it was a female but she’s not a professional breeder or anything like that. I’m starting to think boy but I haven’t gotten a for sure answer.

9 weeksUgh, it's hard with the fluffy ones. But I'm inclined to say male on first impressions, too. How old is the kitten?
Yes the fur makes it trickyMale or female? I vote "yes!"
Fluffy ones are indeed difficult to tell when they're young.
Now that I look closer at the pic, I'm inclined to say male, too. No guarantees, though.9 weeks

My vet even mis-sexed my little girl, so I don't feel too bad about not being able to tell for sure.

No breeders are not ‘professional’, it’s a hobby. Breeders are either registered (breeding to a standard and abiding by a code of ethics) or not (unethical backyard breeders adding to the over population of moggies)she’s not a professional breeder or anything like that
