Maine coon?

Hi everyone. I recently adopted a kitten who’s mother i’m told is full Maine Coon. Can anyone confirm this?

I’ve also attached a photo of the kitten. The original owner doesn’t know what breed the father is - anyone care to speculate what breed my gorgeous little kitten is?

Your kitten is adorable! Did you choose a name yet?

How old is your kitten? It looks really young in the picture, but maybe the picture is from before you brought the kitten home?

I can't quite tell from the picture if your kitten is longhaired or shorthaired. Does it have a fluffy tail? Feel free to post more pictures! In any case, your kitten's color is brown mackerel tabby and white. Your kitten's father could have been almost any color.

Is the first picture your cat's mom? From her picture, I would describe her as a brown classic tabby and white domestic longhair. Did her owners get her from a breeder, or did they just make a guess about her breed based on her looks?

Most cats are not any particular breed, and are not "mixes" of breeds, unlike dogs. That doesn't make them any less gorgeous or special, however! Your kitten doesn't need a breed label to be a great cat
