Just after midnight this morning Lynxx passed away. I wish I knew the tube feeding wasn't going to work. Maybe it was just put in for him to late. Or maybe whatever originally caused the problem finally got him. I wish we didn't put him through that surgery. I don't know if he was in pain. I think he might have been last night right before he died, he was breathing wrong, he was breathing to fast, he was breathing out of his mouth. I held him in my arms I knew something was really wrong. My father took him from me he put Lynxx in his carrier to calm Lynxx down, while he tried to find some place that we could call for help. I wish I kept him in my arms, then he'd have been right there with me and my father instead of in his carrier, with me in the hallway screaming and crying.
Lynxx was fine yesterday morning, he was doing better! He was steadier on his feet, he was more alert. He was ok at the vet. A vet (not his own) saw him yesterday to put a new bandage around his feeding tube. She said he was fine!
I thought something was wrong when we fed him at 6 last night. He was breathing normal then but his mouth was hanging open. We thought his mouth was dry, we gave him water, we cleaned his lips with wet paper towels, we wet his nose. But he just was so weak, his head tilted in my arms, when he looked at me I thought something was wrong. His eyes, his eyes looked dead. I told my parents they said he looked more alert. They didn't listen.
For Lynxx to breathe like that something was wrong with his heart. I know it had to be something wrong with his heart that caused him to get sick in the first place. He had lost a lot of energy over the Summer. Even before these other kittens came here. Ok back in June he used to play Mr. String with me for 40 minutes by August 21 when Luna came here he barely played a minute and he'd just go lay down. He was seen by his original vet he found nothing wrong with his heart. Same with the new vet, she said nothing was wrong with his heart. Same with the vet yesterday she said he was fine. So what went wrong? Why did he die?
