less than 2 months ago I joined this community as an excited first-time cat owner, posting in the "What Breed is my cat" thread trying to learn more about my new feline friend. I went to an animal shelter looking to get a puppy but a feisty kitten escaped her cage and clung to my ankle. It was love at first meow....
For 4 months I grew fascinated with my furry calico roommate, so playful, so prissy, so vocal, so smart. She died after being being hit by a accidentally car after sneaking out following after some kids who had stopped by my house to pet her. Memories of those last few minutes of her life as she responded to my terrified voice will stay with me for a long time.
Any advice on getting over the loss would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking of getting another kitten in a few months but I wonder if that is a bad idea. I have written a tribute here to my dear Polar. - http://www.jamaipanese.com/in-loving-memory-of-my-calico-cat-polar/
