Losing hair

My cat Callie is suddenly losing hair on her tail and around her butt cheeks and on parts of her back feet. It started about 2-3 weeks ago right before I moved but the past couple days it’s been getting pretty bad. I’m not sure what it could be. I’ve read mites, allergies, stress but I have no idea because her brother doesn’t have any signs of anything.

With you moving, it most likely is stress. Observe her if you can to see if she is grooming overly much in those areas. I take it there has been no change in food, litter, etc. to indicate an allergy? Cats try not to show any outward signs of stress, they hate ANYTHING which means a change in their world and a move is a big one. just try to pay a little more attention to her with strokes and reassurance, and offer treats. It takes several months for cats to accept change. All the luck!

I would first suspect of fleas as the weather is warming up.

You see her bowel movements, right? When they get loose stool and if it gets around on their butt/legs fur, they overgroom themselves to clean the area.

And as mentioned, they sometimes overgroom over stress.
