I started homemade raw food in early March.
He ate commercial raw food (Big Country Raw) just fine but just refuses to eat homemade :(
I tried various methods trying to make him eat.
Starved him for 36 hours and still wouldn't eat (he still had lots of energy to play) so..... I accepted it and moved on to different ways.
Tried topping method, that didn't work because he started demanding more toppings as days went by.

Now mixing wet food and raw.
Started off with 99% raw and 1% wet, slowly increasing 2g each meal.
When the percentage of raw food got around 75% he started refusing it again.
I used to give him 3 meals (50g each meal) a day, then tried 2 meals a day (80g each meal)
Had to force feed him because he wouldn't eat at all.
So now I'm doing 4 meals a day (40g each meal).
Finally at 82% raw food 18% can!!!!

I'm hoping some day I can reach 100%

Days I used to give him 50g+ and he'd goes no thanks.

Any reason for the transition?

I have been feeding my cat Primal Freeze Dried nuggets and he seems to love it!

Grr no edit in this forum, there's plenty of benefits to homemade foods.
Being able to control what goes in my cat's food, knowing that it's good quality chicken, and it's very fresh because soon as I make it I'll feed it to him within 2 weeks.
