Long Haired Calico...what Breed Might Be Mixed In?

My latte has such long hair and a really thick undercoat. It reminded me of a maine coon my dad used to have when I was little, but she doesn't have the same face. What do you think gave her that long fur?

Hmm... how big is she? If I were to guess a breed influence it would probably be Norwegian Forest Cat instead of Maine Coon because, as you said, she has a different face, more triangular. NFCs like Maine Coons (and Siberians), are giant breeds, so if she's larger than the average cat then we have more evidence for if she does have some NFC in her. Technically, though, without papers, she'd be called a Domestic Longhair.

An aside: she has a great deal of Turkish Angora configuration in her facial structure. Simply an observation, and perhaps not pertinent at all.

She's only like 13 pounds. She's a little bigger, but not at all fat like some cats.

My dad's Maine coon was a girl and was gray/tabby looking but she was a behemoth. Definitely a mix but still huge.

Just thought it would be fun to ask. I always adopt "mutts" and wonder were the came from

13 lbs is pretty big for a girl kitty. Average is below 10 lbs.

I forget how big she is because her "sister" is the same size. She looks totally different though.
