I'm going to be moving for college from northern IN to Houston, TX in several months. It's about a 17 hour drive. I'll be with my boyfriend and my beloved 1 year old cat, Scout. I don't think we will be staying at a hotel, we will probably drive in shifts. Now, Scout HATES car rides, even rides to the vet are stressful for him. He yowls and howls and cries and it's heartbreaking. After a while he sleeps, but it's still very stressful on both of us.

How do I go about even being prepared? Do I feed Scout? How will the litterbox work? How do I make things as easy and comfortable for Scout as I can?

How will such a dramatic move (from a house with my mother, father, and dog to an apartment with my boyfriend and his friend) affect Scout?

I love my baby boy and I'm very nervous for this. Any advice is seriously appreciated.
