A few months ago we found a little cat in a tree at a park. We decided to bring her home because she was really underfed and seemed homeless. So we've had her for a while now and yesterday she started throwing herself on the floor, rolling all around and rubbing herself against things. she also sticks her butt in the air and starts howling meows that sounds like someone is stepping on her. So she's in heat right? Well my question lies with the howling. How long will it last? She'll meow every moment she's awake, and the rest of the time she goes to sleep or stalks after my male orange cat. We had him nuetered before we even got her. He doesn't really know what to do with her. She'll get near him and stick her rear in the air but he'll walk away or wrap his paws around her neck and start licking her face. Is that normal for him to do? He's only ever been around other male cats before.
