has diarrhea again. And I am very, VERY frustrated with the vets here. I have learned, through my searching through the yellow pages, that most of the vets in my area take care of horses, cows, and dogs, and apparently have no hope for a premie kitten. I realize that it is slim for a premie to make it. They don't have to remind me.
I treat my animals like my child. I was so upset by the time I called the last vet, that I lost it and said, I don't understand...I am basically waiving money in your face and you refuse it??
They retaliated with saying that premies are high risk. Many tests give a false result, even in normal newborn kittens. We don't want to take a chance on a lawsuit.
THE *%$$#** NERVE!!
I do have a vet that I take my other animals to (full grown), and he has helped, but basically has no hope, did give a shot of antibiotics, but we've still got mustard runs.
I thought about worms, but he said that he's too young for wormer, to wait until he's at least 4-5 oz.
He did suggest that I could be overfeeding. I feed about 16cc of formula per day. But I don't want little man to starve!! I've been giving about 2cc of pedialite, which he said was good. We aren't dehydrated, and we are moving around quite a bit, especially when he knows I'm there. He doesn't cry unless its potty time, or I'm burping him.
Maybe I'm just desparate, but I'm not giving up hope.
Anyone else have suggestions
