My vet decided my girl Monkey has a bacterial infection. We've been treating with steroids and clindamycin. She's been responding well, but needs 2 more weeks of both medications. My vet ran out of the clindamycin and had me pick it up at the pharmacy. The problem is the pharmacy had to mix it to get the proper dose so I have to give her a larger amount (1.66ml) and its cherry flavored. She is having trouble keeping it down and I don't know if it's from the amount or the flavoring or both. (The original from the vet wasn't flavored)
How do I help her keep it down? Would giving it to her in smaller amounts help? (I was thinking of doing half a dose, waiting 15-20 minutes to see if it stayed down then doing the other half)
is there a way to help mask some of the flavor?
