Line in claws?

Hey, so we got a cat around a week ago from a cat cafe, and he's amazing and so friendly! Around 4 years ago our last kitty passed, and she was declawed so I don't have much experience with clipping.

My kitty's nails are getting long, and it's about time that I clip them. I can easily identify the quick, but throughout the entire nail there's a red line in each of his claws.

I researched about it and couldn't find anything about it, but I'm afraid to clip it.

I attached a photo but he was moving so it's a bit blurry.

That’s just normal coloring of the nail. I always just clip well above the quick to be safe. You should be fine as long as you do that.

You only need to cut the tip of the nail.
