Hello!
Took my cat to the groomers today. This evening I noticed that her tail is limp and of course I went to google to read up on reasons why. That freaked me out. She’s playing, jumping and lifting her tail a bit when I scratch her lower back.Touching it doesn’t bother her. But she has a little trouble sitting down normally. Is it possible that today’s stress and anxiety caused it to go limp or is it more serious?

Hello, can you talk with your vet? It could be just a sprain but it may need an x-ray to determine what is going on.

I’ll definitely check with my vet in the morning. Just worried that the trip to the vet will stress her out more.

Try covering her carrier with a light towel or blanket, and there are calming sprays that could help too.
