Where do you think?
Since Kabuto was put down I still have a huge opened bag of his food. It is perscription food but I'm not sure shelters will take opened bags of food.

My next cat will be on the same food as Indy so I no longer need the perscription food. Any idea where I could take an opened bag of food?

Take it to your vet. There is a good chance the vet is helping someone who can't afford the food that needs it for their cat. The vet will trust you -- since the food is open -- the vet knows you the shelter doesn't.

Around here, shelters and cat cafes will gladly take donations of cat food, open or not.

I post on my local Buy Nothing Group
Similarly, a neighbour gifted us leftover prescription food for Nobel when she had her cat pts.
