Before I start, here as the original thread when I first took Jophiel to the vet for his 'pudding' consisting poop. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/330875/...-there-were-several-things-found#post_4155248
Fast forward to today , Jophiel has had 2 rounds of antirobe. He has been off the meds for days and where as his poop never firmed up I felt a bit less concered and was going to wait until the first week of January to call vet for his follow up. Well today changed that. Jophiels bum is just leaking poop everywhere.. Like really, leaking everywhere [emoji]128546[/emoji]Poor thing and I'm exhausted as well. Everything yesterday was totally fine, but things changed at like 5am. I have three little boys life is busy and cleaning up diarrhea everywhere all morning was a lot. I called vet, made appointment and went in this am.
Vet was concered with last fecal test that the Jophiel has Fip , as his belly was swollen more then last time. That was scary to hear! After spending close to 1800 in less then one month after adopting these two cats, I know hubby is going to be quite frustrated with more vet bills as I am myself. I had to get an X-ray to rule out abdominal fluid, good news though, it did rule it out and his abdominal was not filled with fluid just a full tummy and intestines full with liquid(diarrhea). So even though expensive that was good news.
He has now put him on clavaseptin for 14 days and had told me that in his experience what can get rid of diarrhea quickly would be to not feed cat until tomorrow am and for the next 10 days feed him 200g of boiled chicken a day.
I am feeling horrible this is all so stressful, I know for Jophiel and for me. I have to keep both cats locked in the bathroom for the next or so in hopes the leaking diarrhea stops. I just want Jophiel to be well, I just want his diarrhea to be gone and him(and I) not have to deal with this anymore. I def don't think he has worms but vet insisted to do yet another deworming. He had one in shelter back in June. One in September. One on December 3rd when I took him to get and yet anted today.
