My precious kitty died suddenly yesterday. He ate breakfast, walked into the family room, laid down and died. It was literally within less than a minute. I am struggling with not having put my finger into his throat to see if there was anything there, but he was not coughing, choking, anything. He just took three breaths, his tongue fell out of the side of his mouth, and his eyes became fixed. He was completely normal just moments before. My heart is breaking and I wonder if a hairball or anything could have caused his sudden and very quick death. He was 8 years old, and strictly an indoor cat with current vaccinations.
