kitty car seat?

Have any of you used one of these before? My cat likes riding in the car but can't see out. I strap in her carrier with the seat belt in case of an accident, but she's much happier when she can look out. I have balanced her up higher once but it wasn't very stable. She also is fine with a harness and leash. (We visit the great outdoors that way.) Are there better ways to let her see out and enjoy the ride? What are the safest types?

I don't see the cat or dog for that matter staying inthe seat for very long. I say keep the cat in the carrier.

The cats are on a lap of a non driver or in a carrier ... My dog has a seat belt and then sit in a cooler with a blanket
