Kittens Switch Food Bowls With Each Other

Why are these kitties doing this? I put each of their food in front of them, they sniff it, aaand then they switch bowls and commence eating! Lol I mean I know they are trying to take over the world (ms. Abby ' the Brain' and MR. Opie 'Pinky ' but what? They are checking for poison now too? Lol so goofy!

It's rather comical- they do it almost every time! :-)

I used to feed my 18mnth old in a connected food/water bowl. She went thru a phase where she would stand with one foot in the water bowl while eating in the food bowl. Then sporadically lift her paw out of the water bowl, look at it, put it back in the water bowl and continue eating.
Cats are weird.

I have one cat who won't eat her food until my other cat licks off all the gravy LOL. Cats are weird.
