I got them today. seem very healthy and are about 6 days old. I’m fostering through shelter. I know they are hungry because they are crying and even look for food but they cry and cry when i try the bottle. they swarm. ive tried swaddling, covering one eye and even with a syringe. i’ve tried miracle nipples and regular.

You need to use the syringe for now. You’ve got to get food in them. You can do it, you’ve done this before! :)

Once they realize it’s milk they will go for it.

What happened to their mom?

Also, are the kittens staying warm? And is the formula warm?

All of them are refusing to eat but one pooped this. It’s a bit dark, so maybe he was a bit constipated?

Wow! They’ve been eating well to poop like that!

When did they eat last? How many hours ago?

I think that’s from their mama! They are crying a lot when I put them back after feeding them. They each drink like 1.5 ml just now. They are all still crying though

I put a snuggle kitty in there. Do you think they could be crying because of mom?

Yes, I think so. They are clearly suffering through an adjustment.

Based on their weights, they actually need about 2.3 mLs every 2 hours around the clock, or 3.5 mLs every 3 hours.

Try for every 2 hours for now until they are taking it better. It’s good they ate some finally. They should calm down soon. Poor babies.
