All right!

Without the video, jennyrosalie's message was slightly misleading. She teased him with a pen, just out of reach, and Reeves stood up and took a few steps to catch the pen. Then he fell over on his side, with the captured pen. In other words, he didn't just stand, he walked! Of course he still tires easily, but that's a given at this point. He remembers what legs are for, and he's begun using them. Plus which, the fall was right on the edge of "There! I caught it, time to play with it." With a devoted meowmy like jennyrosalie taking care of him, I'd say that full recovery for Reeves is not just likely, but ensured.I am so disgusted by my computer! It won't let me download the adobe flash update (blue screen of death) so I CAN'T SEE IT!!!
That said, I am wildly excited just knowing about it! When you can get a still of him standing up, please post it!
You could see by his face he was trying so hard. He reminded me of a foal taking it's first steps. Seldom pretty but they are speedboating in no time.Without the video, jennyrosalie's message was slightly misleading. What I didn't say, because I was on the piece-a-junk first gen. iPad and Safari was about to kick me out and lose the draft, was that the Reeves was totally concentrating on the pen, not his legs. He just wanted to get that toy, and legs were merely the means to that end. Which is exactly how it's supposed to be. It means that his focus has changed from what he can't do to what he wants to do, which is where a kitten is supposed to focus.

Parental controls.
I'm so glad I check back in here! OMG! I'm bouncing in my seat and laughing like a maniac. Hekitty is watching me with deep, deep suspicion. Just as well she doesn't know it's all over another kitteh. Or probably, she does. I'm convinced she spends half her night online, seeing what I've been up too.
GOOD WORK JEN!
That was lovely seeing that beautiful kitty standing up.He is standing on his own now! He can take a few steps but will fall eventually, I know he will be able to walk someday!
