Kitten vomiting/diarrhea

My boyfriends kitten since last night, has thrown up his food and been having light brown, putrid smelling diarrhea. He ate a little last night but threw it up this morning and since refuses to eat. He is around 5 months old. His is active, no signs on lethargy, but he's disinterested in food. Last night he seemed hyper but also anxious. Any ideas on this?

Hi! I agree with Furballsmom about a vet visit. Even though he isn't demonstrating other signs of an illness, this could likely be the start of something, and catching it sooner than later is the key to resolving the situation before it does get worse.

Have you made any recent food changes that might be attributing to the diarrhea and vomiting? And, just curious if has been checked over by a vet and given his vaccinations already?

I agree with taking to the vet. If he was ever off your sight, also check the house if you notice anything like he might have eaten something he wasn't supposed to.
