I am admittedly a dog person, I usually do not get cat so I hope I am doing this right. My kitten is about 8 weeks old and is a rescue. He was not litter box trained. I have never dealt with this before, I have owned 1 other cat and he was trained. I have no idea how to do this and am just proceeding as I would do with one of my dogs. I am kennel training the kitten, when he cannot be supervised he is put in a large kennel with my ferret, which he actually loves and will ask to be put to bed there at night. I am a stay at home mom so he isn't getting locked up for extended amounts of time. He was pooping everywhere. Am I doing this right? He is placed in the litter box after meal times and play.
