I had my kitten Jelly Belly Bean (gosh he's 22-24 weeks old now, my memory isn't what it used to be) neutered today. All went well with him, I got the information about no feeding for up to two hours after I bring him home and no playing for 48 hours. Right now that doesn't seem to be a problem. When I first brought him home he couldn't move his rear legs at all (which didn't worry me at first because when I had my 5 year old son I couldn't feel my legs to walk after the anesthesia either). He slept for awhile and when I got up to leave he let out a pitiful cry and tried following me (I just wanted to grab a bite to eat and feed the kids). Needless to say I was a bad human Mommy and had my 13 year old make grilled cheese sandwiches so I could watch Jelly Bean). Anyway he has finally started walking around but he appears groggy and he is stumbling around (he looks like he had one too many). I brought him home 3 hours ago. Will he be back to his normal self soon? How much longer can I expect him to be groggy and stumbling (poor baby, I carried him to the litter box but he laid down face first to pee. When he went to get up he fell right back in it. While it was funny in a ha-ha sort of way I am still worried). Am I just being on overanxious furry Mom?
