Kitten Coat Length

Hello! I am looking at adopting a kitten who the rescuer thinks is going to be medium/long hair, but I'm not sure. His siblings are predominantly obviously long haired. He has one sibling who looks like they'll be more short haired. However, the kitten I'm considering definitely seems to have a thicker coat. He's about 8 weeks old.

He is so adorable! I think he will end up as a shorthair, because he doesn’t have the long ear furnishings that indicate that he will be a longhair. Kittens can look a bit fluffier than they will as adults. He looks like a super sweet kitty, so I do hope you will adopt him!

Thumby kitty! I love polydactyls.

I think he'll be shorthaired. You can usually tell by their tails, and you can see the white kitten has long hair on the tail. But you can see his tail has shorter fur.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm going to go ahead and get him - I've always had long hairs, but his face is so adorable, I can't resist
