I just went out to wash the dishes to find my 5 month old kitten pepe had eaten big holes in my dish cloth because it smelt like roast pork. She has never done anything like this before. I'm a bit worried she will get sick. I will be watching her, and looking out for any signs of illness. Has anyone else had this problem?

My uncle's cat loved to chew fabric (wool was her favorite). If she's eaten big pieces of the cloth, keep and eye on her and make sure she's still peeing and pooping. You may need to take her to the vet to have her checked for a blockage. If the pieces she ate are bigger than her stomach can break down, she won't be able to pass them.

Honestly, thread and yarn from fabrics can be dangerous to cats. I'd consider taking her in anyway, just to get her checked out and know that everything's okay.

Thanks. I'll see how she is in the morning. She seems fine at the moment.
