Our family’s picked this girl out as she was the most playful and alert of her litter, however we noticed that she has teary eyes and her nose seems crusty? We met her directly after the kittens’ first vaccination, so the breeder reassured us that it was just a side effect of the vaccination. Is this a genuine cause for concern? Thanks!

If this has been your only concern, and everything else about the breeder checks out (keep kittens 12 weeks, neuter before sale (or at least contract to neuter), HCM screened parents, papers are in order, etc), then I wouldn’t worry. Some kittens can feel a bit poorly after their first round of shots.

It could be, and may well be. Maurey Maurey is right. Additionally, the kitten's medical records should be made available to you. And, as always, have your new kitten checked by your own vet, immediatlely.
