It's probably her muscles and kittens. They usually lift a leg and tail up when pushing. My cat sat up to push but some lie down. The tail almost always goes up. You can see them straining too.
I just hate it when the labor is going on and off for many hours, it's so iffy feeling, is something wrong? Is she unable to get the first one out?, etc.
Her discharge looks okay to me actually. It is tinged with a bit of blood which is why the pale tan/pink color.
It is not foul smelling or anything, and it is thinning as well, all of this sounds normal.
When to worry-
When you see her actively pushing, and no baby comes out.
You will clearly know a push vs contraction, it will look like she is having a large bowel movement, her body will be pushing is all, oh and her whiskers will come forward, this is clear evidence of a pushing mom.
You will very likely wake to babies in the morning, she is clearly in an early active stage, dilating now and will settle and deliver any time now.
I just woke up to check on momma am we still have no babies the discharge is still here and it is odor less. I can see she is still having contractions too.
You ask for a payment plan. There is also a Care Credit Card you can apply for online that pays the vet but gives you lots of time and low monthly payments. Lots of our members use it.
And if she hasn't had the babies she has to go in. It's just been too long.
It just seems that she is not progressing as she should. But I would ask for a shot of oxytocin if she's not in distress, before consenting to a c-section.
