I've always been curious, what does this position mean?

I see both of my cats sitting/laying in the position a lot. I notice Khaleesi (pictured) will always do it in the kitchen before dinner time. She has such an "evil" look on her face like she's angry and waiting whenever she is in this position.

There's a difference between this pose and just sitting, I call it "cat loaf" lol. She's all hunched up with her paws under her.

Is this a sign of body language? Or just a cat thing? Lol

Whenever my cats sit like that, they're cold.  It's called a "muffin top" and well as "cat loaf."

If she's sitting like because she's cold, she probably is annoyed!

Awww I feel bad now! They usually find a random place in the middle of the floor to sit like that too. It is kinda chilly in this house now that I think of it (electric heat sucks lol)

Whenever I see a cat in that pose, I always think they are uncomfortable. Like when they have an upset stomach or aren't feeling well.   Being cold could fall under that too, I would imagine.
