Hi, yes it is possible. In fact, my vet just said this to me two weeks ago. Try adding different brands of grain free foods and meat sources as well if your kitty will eat something other than chicken and turkey. Add new ones slowly so you don't upset his tummy. I agree that the formula may have been changed so check with that. Could he/she have gotten into anything that could cause this? New food or treat from someone else?
He was accidently feed Whiskas dry for two weeks which ended a week ago, along with catnip purchased at the petstore. This stopped once I found out and nearly went to jail, (Don't ask). The house was also sprayed inside and out for roaches, but it hasn't bothered him before. He normally hangs out in the garage, so I'm going to transfer him to the back for a few weeks. I'm trying to eliminate as many hindrinces as possible. I don't know if it matters, but I should note that he has feline aids. He used to be pretty wheezy, but good food cleared that up. He still continues to pull and lick his fur around his lower stomach, and theres a 3 inch patch under right arm where it looks like he had the fur buzzed off. He also chews behind his left front paw. Does anyone know how long it takes to leave his system, if food really is the problem. I've read 6 to 8 weeks, but you've got to be kidding me. I don't want him to itch, but benadryl for 6 months, doesn't sound healthy? Any thoughts gang?
