Unless there is paperwork or he/she came from a breeder than the likelihood is no. The majority of cats in the world are of no breed ancestry. He or she is gorgeous though!

Agreed. A gorgeous domestic shorthair. I adore black cats.

Without having papers, he would be considered a very handsome black Domestic Shorthair. He is a nice lookalike to a Bombay, though, with his shiny black fur, copper eyes, and rounded face.

If from breeder you do surely have paperwork?

Even if not all breeders send a pedigree certificate for cats sold as pet quality.
