We got a cat from our neighbor as he seems to be a magnet for cats that get dumped off. Non are actually his but he feed them. We at first we thought the cat, Otter, was a fixed male. But it turns out that she is a unfixed female. She is likely pregnant, too as there at least one tom over there that is always on the prowl. But I know there is another female with kittens (a few weeks old) so she probably is.
But we have no idea how pregnant she is. I have read that a sign of labor is restlessness. She is meowing a lot (but not yowling) and laying her front on the floor and butt in the air, and just constantly meowing. I don't think it is just heat, because we are pretty sure she is pregnant, and we have had cats in heat before. That was nothing like this, way different. She isn't very fat, but has a slight roundness to her, but I figured like people, some cats can be pregnant and gain very little weight, her nipples are bright pink, but not swollen. But she isn't keen on you looking at her stomach anyway.
Sorry for the rambling!
EDIT: She isn't doing it anymore, she is just sitting in a chair
