Hey all. Got a kitten from rescue here real age is unknown but vet estimates approx 8-10 months. Got her spayed last Monday (today is 10 days.) Two days ago I noticed a minor bump on bottom, and read this can happen and be normal. However, looking at it now I noticed this small "opening" thing. I can forgive the crusty dried glue, there no signs of infection in terms of smell, heat, noticeable discharge, fever, or abnormal behavior. Infact she has been more energetic than ever the past two days. She has had her cone on for all 10 days non stop, with paper litter in litter box, and has been confined to a bedroom. Thanks in advance!

Possibly it could be a seroma which is a collection of fluid under the incision. However, I am not sure I've personally seen or heard of one open and start weeping. I'd call your vet as soon as possible, ask if you can email that photo or bring her in for a hands on check up. May be fine but better safe than sorry. Good luck!
