The alternative label could perhaps be calico, or three-colored cats as its in some languages.
Genetically its the same, the diffeerence between a calico and a tortie with white is, in a tortie the colored pats are intermingled. While in a calico there are clear, well definied fields...
Its easier to see such on shorthairs.
So, for the time being call her for tortie with white. but if someone shouts "hey you calico" on the street, it MAY be you they mean. .
Absolutely beautiful! I would call her a tortoiseshell with white, but because her hair is so long it kind of 'intermingles' anyway. Her face ,where it is shorter, looks like it has distinct patches, like a calico. At first glance she is definitely tortoiseshell.
