You just will have to mix it with less expensive or feed it on Sundays for treats. At least you have them liking canned. My cats eat better than I do.

I don`t get it. The 3 oz cans are ridiculously wasteful and also bad for the environment (I would hope all that aluminum is recycled but I doubt it). I mean what is the selling point? Convenience? Is it that hard to put a plastic lid on a large can and place it in the fridge?? Holy cow!!!! What have we come to in this society?
I know , My cats love the Nutro but I just cannot afford to feed it . I don't know why it has to be so expensive .. If they were at least 5.5 oz cans it would be much easier ..
I buy mostly 3 oz cans for a few reasons. One being that Lilith and Sophie are SO finicky and will not eat food that has been refrigerated even if it has come to room temperature or warmed in the microwave so if I bought a 13 oz can to save money, it wouldn't save money in the long run because most of it would end up in the trash. I also like to mix foods to give them a variety in flavor and texture. I can't do that with even 5.5 ounce cans because there would be leftovers which would go in the garbage or they would end up being overfed if they ate it all, but they probably would not. They also like some foods that just don't come in larger cans. Lilith's #1 favorite is the Wellness Divine Duos and Sophie's are the Soulistic Good Karma and the Harvest Sunrise. Those have permanent spots in the rotation. I do buy some 5.5 ounce cans if I am going to split it between them but the majority of their rotation is 3 oz cans. I recycle every single cup, can and lid regardless of size. I recycle the pouches, too. I know it costs me more but the princesses get what the princesses want.

Yeah , that is what I plan to do ..You just will have to mix it with less expensive or feed it on Sundays for treats. At least you have them liking canned.
I don't know . Maybe the companies think those size cans are convenient .. In our town almost everything is recycled ..

. They probably do it for one cat households. It is perfect for one meal or two smalls. Most cats hate refrigeration. I have 2 cats and taper their meals smaller toward evening. They split one 5.5 or 6 ounce at breakfast. At 1 in afternoon they split a 3 oz and at 5 they split a 3 oz. Before bed they get a tablespoon of wet or 20 pieces of small kibble.I don't know . Wow is that how big they are, mine is 17 lbs and I was told he must lose weight!I`m sorry. I am sure there are good reasons as already stated above for the 3 oz cans. I just get frustrated when there are foods I would like to try but they ONLY come in 3 oz cans. I cannot bring myself to pay double for the tiny cans. My cat Wolfy is a 22 pound ragamuffin and 3 oz is barely an appetizer for him.
I feed my dogs weruva from big 13 oz cans and recipe looks same for catsWow is that how big they are, mine is 17 lbs and I was told he must lose weight!
Wow. I don't blame you for being frustrated. He's a big boy!! Lilith is 6.5 pounds and Sophie is 7.5 pounds. I think it's frustrating, too that some foods aren't available in anything other than 3 oz cans. They both like the Soulistic and the Wellness Divine Duos so sometimes I will take one of each and give them half of each. It would be nice to have one bigger can or cup of each to split between them. The Divine Duos usually run $1.59 each for 2.8 ounces. That's a topper for Wolfy, isn't it? That's such a cute name
