Hello everyone!
First I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Grace Joy and I'm 20 years old. I live with my boyfriend Mark in Brossard QC, Canada. I've had many cats in my life, but they never stayed long. Candy, the cat I had the longest time (10 years) died this summer and made me very sad because I had lost my baby. Candy was a 14 year old Blue Point Siamese cat with quite a personality! As the time slowly passed, I figured it was time to let a new little devil into my life. So my boyfriend and I talked about it for a while and he finally agreed... So this is how the Shadows story starts... She was born into a family with 3 siblings. I do not know anything about her family history because I adopted her from someone who posted an ad on Kijiji "Adorable Kittens to Give" with their photos. All I know is that the mother was a short-haired black and white cat (there was a picture).
This is the picture that sold me on this little bundle!
How cute is she!
I recently moved into my 3 1/2 apartment and Shadow has already met her grandmother, grandfather, aunts and brother! They took her in for the time it took us to move (i spent more time than usual at my mothers that week.) Now Shadow is 3 months old and it feels like she's been with us forever. We love her so much, although she can be a little brat... waking us up in the middle of the night to jump on our faces... licking our eyelids as we sleep with her sandpaper tongue... biting my nose... yes... these are some of the things we love about our little Shadow... We have a bell on her now to know where she is at all times and trust me it's a very good thing. She's a sneaky little one! If it weren't for the bell I wouldn't know she snuck under the sink while i was throwing something in the garbage! She loves hanging out on the balcony when we give her the time to. She loves climbing. She loves playing with us a little too much... ouch my hands... but she is very very cuddly when she's not in the mood to play.
Anyway, that's a little about Shadow. We're taking her to the vet this week - her first trip! Hopefully it will go well. I know my little Shadow is in good health though because we give her only the best food to eat and invested in a water fountain to stay hydrated all the time!
I will probably be asking a few questions here and there about her behavior and how to handle certain situations so I'm sure you'll be seeing me around the site.
Thanks for reading!
