Introduce Kittens To Ferrets.

I have a litter of 4 kittens that were born in my shed. I have 2 ferrets (also abandoned like the kittens' mom). About how big should the kittens be before they'll be safe around the ferrets? One of the ferrets is small and gentle. The big ferret likes to drag her around by the scruff of the neck. I don't think it would be good if she tried that on a kitten.

Never trust any ferret with your kittens. An adult ferret is capable of killing a grown cat. It will be up to you to supervise the ferret and protect the kittens.
The much smaller Stoat is capable of killing a rabbit ten times its size.

The kittens are fast becoming cats but they have still only interacted with the ferrets through the bars of their cage.
