Interesting Video: Changing a Cat's Fur Color

I was watching YT, this evening, and one of my favorite channels, SciShow, posted a really interesting video about cats and the color of their fur.


The video talks about the genetics of the colors of cats' fur and how/why cats have different colored fur.
During the video, they discuss an experiment where scientists were able to make a cat's fur change color by adding certain ingredients to their diet.

I just thought this was super cool and thought I should share it.

Caveat: This is NOT the kind of experiment that people should try at home with their own cats! For scientific curiosity only!
But it does bring up an interesting point that the food your cat eats can have interesting effects.

Interesting! I had read before that black cats looking brown or rust-colored in some light could be due to some kind of insufficiency in their diet. But I want to know how to get a rainbow-colored cat!
