I don't let my dog run in the streets, why would it be okay for my cats to?

There are a lot of dogs in my neighborhood so I keep the boys indoors. Sebastian is a mouse in a cat's body, Miko can't jump or run fast due to a past injury and Kionu is too friendly for his own good. There is no way I would let them outside unsupervised.

If people are going to call me cruel, let them. The safety of my cats are more important than what people think of me.

I don't let my cat out for a few of reasons. They are: I would be too afraid she would get hurt or sick, I live in an apartment so it is not practical and lastly, I've read that the North American song bird population is being severly reduced by cats. So to protect my cat, my sanity and the song birds, I will always keep Nepheline inside.
