Indoor Cat?

My resident cat Ritz shows no interest in going outside; she is content to look outside sitting on the window sill.

A cat Twiddledee I am fostering lived on the streets for at least nine months; he was abandoned/dumped when he was around 2 years ago.  After one month of being inside (save for an escape lasting 12 hours--he returned on his own), he still pines, meows loudly to go out.  I hope that passes; it makes me sad to see  him sad.

Other than that Twiddledee is affectionate, sweet, submissive.  Gets along well with Ritz--and Ritz isn't an easy cat.

Yes, Tdee is neutered.

With a kitten that young, I'd get a second kitten.  They will socialize each other, keep each other company, and you'll wind up with two well-adjusted cats instead of one lonely cat.  And thank you for adopting rather than buying!
