This is Ruby Rose, a beautiful white extreme Persian angel. I got her in the early spring of 2005. She was a sweet angel from day one. She was always very quiet and reserved and had very little energy. Within a short period of time I took her to the Vet, she was diagnoised as a chronic sniffler from an untreated URI when she was a very young kitten. The Vet recommended that I have her nose fixed as her nostrils were so small, she had additional difficulty breating. Of course I agreed and he suggesting waiting until she was completely over her latest episode of URI and had put on a couple of lbs. A couple of months later I had to take her back because her left eye had enlarged horribly. She was tested and found to have glaucoma. The Vet said it was extremely painful and would likely present in her right eye as well. The only viable course was to have her eyes removed. The Vet also said after some further testing that she had some other potential genetic problems that would likely present in the future. It was recommended and I agreed that she had suffered enough in her young life. She crossed over to the bridge late Summer 2005. A part of me went with her.
She never got to play, have a good time. She was always sickly and somewhat weakened. I take great solace in knowing that she is healthy, happy and playing now and waiting for me to join her when the time is right.
