Ok, I admit it, it is funny.
About a week ago, I submitted a paper to my prof by email. This morning, I run into her in the corridor and she asks me if I had received her email this morning. I said no, I haven't checked my emails yet. So she says "that's ok. It's about your paper, just read it and we can discuss it tonight after class."
My reaction:
I knew my paper wasn't great, but I didn't think it was bad enough that she'd want me to re-write it. So I was all worried through lunchtime, then went to the computer lab, read her email, which said something like "well, your paper really only summarized the book, you were supposed to talk about A, B and C as well... maybe you should re-write it."
My reaction:
and
"I DID write about A, B and C... what is she complaining about???"
then I checked the attachment I sent and...
I sent her the first draft of my paper, not the finished version!
So all is well, I just need to email her the right version.
But I also forgot to bring my reading for tonight's class with me this morning, as well as the notes I need to finish my research proposal (due tonight)... so I had to walk all the way home (30 minutes in the cold
) and now I have to go back.
Maybe I should have stayed in bed this morning.
