I was surfing this morning, as usual and decided to look up an old friend from the late 80's, early 90's. She'd lived in the apt above mine during the time I was going through a divorce from a too early marriage and we had some quite wild times.
As time went on, I matured, she moved to Dallas, I married and had a child and we lost touch. I thought it might be cool to reconnect with her while I was in the hospital next month.
Instead of a Facebook page, I find an obituary and an article about her death.
I just emailed the reporter to find out "HOW? WHY?" Apparently she'd been on a vacation to NYC last October and was taking a bath and fell asleep with the hot tap still running. She died of hyperthermia.
RIP Trish. You helped make me a more interesting person and gave me some wonderful memories that will forever make me smile---even through my tears today.
Thanks for listening,
Cally
