I'm Kerry and I live in Michigan with my husband and 4 kitties, Moo, Trip, Punky, and Gus. I love talking about my babies and am looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
You love talking about your babies and so do we all! Welcome to the site and please keep talking about your babies and when you can, post some pictures, too!
Oh, yeah, I guess I should tell you more about the kids.
All of my cats are rescues in one way or another.
Moo is a big DLH white and black kitty. He's 11 years old and was born in our field along with a brother and sister. I don't know if the momma cat was feral or a stray, but she disappeared when the kittens were around 7-8 weeks old. We started trying to feed them so that they could be tamed. We caught the female when she got trapped in the garage and got her adopted through the HS. Then Moo showed up on our front porch one sunny saturday and he was very sick. He had somehow scratched his eye and it was badly infected. I'm glad he knew that we would take care of him. At the time, we already had 2 cats and didn't think we could handle more
so the plan was to get him healthy and then adopted. Well, how could you let such a sweet kitten go after giving him all that care?
Trip is a big tux cat who showed up in our back yard as a very skinny and unaltered adult almost 7 years ago. He knew from the very start that he was never leaving. We got him neutered, de-wormed, and de-flea'd and fed him, and he lived outside all summer until we brought him inside for good. He still likes to go outside and patrol his territory, but he only does it with me right behind him.
Punky is a tiny little brown tabby who showed up in our back yard almost 5 years ago as an adult. She hadn't been out on her own for very long, I don't think. I can't imagine that she escaped from her home, I think she was dumped. She will not even think about running out the door. She is still really skittish and spends most of her time on our bed or in the bathroom.
Gus is an all white kitty with one blue eye and one gold. He is just a year old and still acts like a kitten, of course. I got him from my workmate who decided that he and his family were allergic to him after having him for 6 months. He's a pretty silly boy and loves to wrestle with Trip. He's alot of fun to have around, since Moo was the last kitten we had.
I have some pics of them and will try to post them soon.
