I am waiting to hear too, I am so excited for her
Awwww poor boy, he deserves a home like yoursOriginally Posted by lookingglass
He's home! He gave us a huge lecture the whole way here about how he was being abducted, and he wanted to go back.
I found out why they didn't want him. He pulls out the fur on his back legs and tummy. It looks like he's been shaved. I think this is some sort of nervous condition.
I'm making an appointment with my vet on Monday and we are taking him in. I think he may need some medication to stop the obsessive pulling.
The boys have both hissed at the door, so we are going to take this introduction really slow.
I'm exhausted right now, so sorry if this post isn't making a whole lot of sense.
That's what has me worried. I honestly think he was shoved in a room for a long period of time. When I can get him to come out and I pet him he just gives me the saddest look.Originally Posted by Pami
Awwwwwww that poor baby ............... you know you can give him and a warm, secure and calm environment .........so he wont be pulling his hair out anymore....... he was probably mistreated
Heather, the thing with cats ......... is that you can develop trust with them. He will know that you are there to care for him. I strongly believe cats can feel this. Just be really gentle with him and you will see him flourish as soon as he realizes his enviornment is safe.Originally Posted by lookingglass

There’s some good news though, the boys seem to be getting a long better. They are both hunkered down by the door sniffing.
EDIT: To calm my nerves I ate a whole éclair. It was wonderful!
Thanks I needed to hear that. This is so funny. When 8-Bit came, he ran around the apartment for half an hour and then fell asleep in my lap. When Scratch came he hid for over a week. This little guy seems to be coming out when he wants attention, so I don't think it's going to be too long before he comes around.Originally Posted by Pami

Dont let his eyes worry you but bring you closer to him.
You will do it, I think the most important thing is to show him you love him and you want him, make him feel that. He is probably just so scared right now. He just needs to know that you are not gonna lock him up somewheres.Originally Posted by lookingglass

He hasn't eaten or used his box since about 8pm last night. I think that he's conviced that he's been abducted.Originally Posted by cheylink
