took my two guys to the vet today.
Lears has a neurological problem which I will need to take him to a neurologist. His right back leg seemed to be slipping out from under him & he didn't seem to have that much control over it. Then I noticed he has this twitch on the right side, his whiskers & his ear on that side constantly twitch. then yesterday one eye was totally dilated while the other wasn't (that happened about a month ago right after we had him fixed. We thought it was a reaction to the anesthesia. went away by the morning).
so we took him & his brother in today. Doc said he definately was neurological, he stopped short of saying it was serious, but I know.
Man, I've grown really attached to this little cat. I mean, i've had animals all my life & I've loved them all, but I REALLY love this cat.
His brother, choripan, has been strugling with what another vet told us was an eye infection. Turns out that his lower eyelid is turning itself in to the eye. He gave us some stuff for that & said that worse case senario he'd need surgery. Basically an eye lift. If it would go untreated he could lose his eye, but he's not going to go untreated, you know.
I feel confident that we will take care of choripan & I feel it is something that is within our control, I don't feel the same confidence about Lears & I fear my time with him may be limited.
sorry for the long post. had to talk to someone.
